Security IC

Security ICs are critical components used in applications such as secure elements (SE), Trusted Platform Module (TPMs), SIM/eSIM, payment cards, authentication tokens, IoT devices, and embedded controllers. A Security IC is designed to provide cryptographic functions, secure key storage, and physical protection against tampering. It acts as the hardware root of trust, enabling device authentication, data encryption, and secure boot for a wide range of digital systems.

To resist physical attacks such as probing, reverse engineering, and side-channel analysis, Security ICs require secure key storage and robust protection mechanisms. Traditional methods that store keys in flash or fuse-based memory can be vulnerable to extraction. By embedding eMemory's IPs, particularly NeoFuse OTP and NeoPUF, chip designers can implement a true hardware root of trust with keys generated and stored directly on silicon, never exposed externally. These solutions enable the generation of chip-unique, unclonable keys, which can be used for identity binding, authentication, and cryptographic operations without relying on external key provisioning. This enhances both the security level and the flexibility of secure IC design.

Solutions for TPM, SE, SIM/eSIM, authentication ICs

Implement hardware root of trust and secure key storage

Our NeoPUF provides self-generated, chip-unique keys with no external exposure, enhancing resistance to physical attacks.

Enable secure boot and cryptographic functions

eMemory’s OTP and PUF-based security (neoPUF, Secure OTP, PUFrt, PUFcc, PUFhsm, PUFpqc) IPs support secure identity binding and encryption/decryption processes essential for trusted systems.

Logic-compatible and foundry-portable

Our IPs are compatible with standard CMOS processes and portable across foundries, enabling flexible deployment for diverse secure IC applications.
